Rob Tucker, RYT 200
Rob Tucker is co-founder of Eka Loka Yoga and Wellness and works professionally as a Senior Program Analyst for a mid-sized company in Chatsworth, CA. Rob began teaching in the fitness industry as a Spin instructor in 2007 and completed his 200-hour Interdisciplinary Yoga Teacher Training (IYTT) with Ann Hunt Yoga and the Nosara Yoga Institute in 2010. He is an avid cyclist and enjoys hiking in the mountains. Rob’s love of sports and yoga has inspired him to combine the two fitness modalities to help athletes enhance a chosen sport by extending endurance and flexibility necessary for continued activity and prevention of injuries.
Rob is looking forward to completing a 500-hour professional level yoga teacher training within the next two years to expand his knowledge base and deepen his personal practice. Rob expresses that IYTT was one of the greatest experiences of his life that has deeply changed how he views himself and the world around him. In 2011, Rob became certified in Pranassage®, an energy bodywork modality, which was also co-taught and assisted by his wife, April. One of his favorite experiences teaching yoga has been creating partner yoga flows with April and believes it is their mutual interest in yoga that continues to support their intimacy and interests in social justice and action.
